Having grown up between the southern Connecticut shore and the mountains of Vermont, after graduating from UConn I started my career in Boston. I worked throughout the New England region as a part time photographer, urban planner, and freestyle ski coach. 

My sense of adventure brought me out of the cold New England mountains to the warm shores of Australia. There I spent a year learning to surf, and began taking shots of both surfing and the amazing landscape of Australia. Soon I learned that with little more than my camera and surfboard, I was immensely happy. 

Since my first fine art sale, I have traveled the world combining my passion for adventure, travel, and sports with my love for photography. As part of photographing surf and other action sports I began to shoot the associated lifestyle, capturing moments, portraits, and events. I soon branched into related commercial and editorial works, as well as formal portraits and weddings.

I first founded Driftwood Photography Studios and DriftwoodFoto in 2005. After more than a decade I have since rebranded under my own name. Read more about the decision to rebrand here.
